North Coast Kitchen Company
Gavin from the North Coast Kitchen Company put the feelers out via the NI Business group on Facebook looking for a web designer. Like 'A LOT' of web designers and graphic designers we all replied with links to our socials and our websites.
Gavin got in touch with me for a discussion about what he wanted and the plan for his new business. He sent me through a link to the images of the kitchens he produces and il be honest, I was blown away.
The quality jumped out of the images. High end is the best description. The craftsmanship is absolutely stunning.
So with everything agreed, Gavin agreed to NI Designer building his new website. He already had bought his domain names in both .com and .co.uk (I would advise this as it stops copycat sites springing up!) And he transferred these domains onto my server to build up the website using the best web hosting possible allowing for us to monitor and tweak performance when needed.
I started this project like I start all my website projects with offline mockups to give the client an idea of the look and feel of the website and it also is a great filter process to get rid of elements that are not needed and also it fires the imagination of the client as well and they a lot if the time come back with new ideas they would like to include in the design. (See original mockup opposite)
With this website it was almost a project in what to leave out not what to put in as the content supplied was so exceptional. One thing some clients struggle with is content. they understand the need for a website but don't think this step through and the resulting website can seem empty. Please feel free to discuss that with me if you are planning a website as this is a crucial step and I can help and guide you through this stage to make your website much more successful at launch.
As you can see from the finished website the content sells itself and makes this website what it is. Id say it is one of the best portfolio/brochure websites in my collection of work and that is solely down to the client.
