The Project
This is a personal project of mine. I am a self confessed Golf Nut! I have wanted an avenue into the Golf space for ever and during the Summer of 2025 I researched this idea that had been floating around my head for a long time. A website dedicated to the near 350 Golf courses in Ireland. Each one gets a totally free listing but the clubs can purchase a Premium Listing where they can provide the viewer with a vast array of information about their club and course and what it offers the visiting golfer.
The cost is merely €220 or £250 per year and the clubs get a one page website, social media funnel to their page and ultimately on each page is a direct link to their tee time booking page so visiting golfers can purchase a Tee Time to go and play that course.
This type of resource doesn’t really exist currently and I felt that I could market the website as an easy ROI as one 4 ball booking for some courses could nearly cover their yearly cost of Premium on golfinginireland.org
The website is built using WordPress posts for each club and then a special template if they upgrade to a Premium page. These are filtered by Province and then County to allow the viewer to select courses within radiuses of Towns or areas they wish to play.
